Language

If someone says, ``What's happening?'' or ``What's up?'' or even ``What's going down?'' it means roughly the same as ``How are you?'' and an appropriate response is ``Nothin' much.''

Americans use the word entrée to mean the main course. This is perhaps indicative of how much attention Americans have traditionally paid to language skills.
